Designed for use primarily in traffic signal and sign electrification applications, junction boxes are precast to Pennsylvania and New Jersey specification requirements. Faddis keeps a limited supply in stock, but will produce products to accommodate your needs. Special symbols can be cast into junction boxes and lids upon request.
Our Products
Faddis Cast Stone is ideal for architects and owners with projects requiring attention to detail and high-quality products in accordance with ASTM C1364, the Standard Specification for Architectural Cast Stone. It creates the natural stone look without limiting shape or color. Custom constructed forms, crafted by our experienced in-house pattern shop, guided by attentive management, and expertly cast with high-quality materials and methods, result in architectural elements that measure up to the highest industry standards. Each piece is cast monolithically to ensure uniform color full depth with long life. Cast Stone Architectural Elements are cast using the vibratory tamp method for superior appearance and durability.
Faddis Cast Stone, a division of Faddis Concrete Products, is a member of the National Precast Concrete Institute (NPCA).
Colors
Colors should be approved by inspecting a physical sample prior to production. Faddis provides boxed color sample kits upon request. Larger samples and mock-ups will be produced prior to production as required for specific projects. Faddis will help you to achieve the color and texture required for your project.
Shapes
Faddis Cast Stone specializes in custom shapes made to fit each project. We typically perform a take-off and prepare a quotation. Repetition of shapes reduces cost of forms in the dry-tamp manufacturing process. Faddis can offer options to optimize the shape to reduce cost if there is flexibility in the design. Drawings are submitted when an order is received. Upon approval, a detailed shop drawing is prepared for each unique piece. Forms are then fabricated and the Cast Stone is produced and marked for identification to ensure that installation corresponds with architectural drawings. We carefully package and deliver the product to protect each element.

AcoustaCrete® is a sound-absorptive, time-tested concrete that is ideal for the harsh environment along Interstate highways. It has excellent characteristics for durability and sound absorption: porosity, fiber reinforcement, and a cementitious binder to resist damage from exposure to freezing and thawing, and constant abrasion from snow plows and road debris. The free draining pores allow moisture to enter and escape, cleansing the surface and maintaining acoustical absorption.
AcoustaCrete® Options
The StoneWall series and the AngleWall™ series noise barriers can be made with AcoustaCrete® surfaces, which can be cast in stone or other patterns and can be colored with surface-applied acrylic stains. AcoustaCrete® tiles can be fastened to existing surfaces with concrete anchors. Post covers, as illustrated above, fit snugly over the exposed flange of a steel post, adding architectural enhancement and sound absorption. Faddis will consider other requests for product that must be sound-absorptive at the client’s request. AcoustaCrete® can be cast as an integral part of an MSE facing panel.
StoneWall highway noise barriers, constructed with support posts and concrete panels, can conform to the Faddis standard design as approved by Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) or to the state standard for respective federal and state highway departments. Faddis has supplied StoneWall systems in many states for both government and private clients. AcoustaCrete® can be cast on one or two sides of this system where specifications require sound absorption. Concrete posts are standard, but steel posts can be used for vertical panel supports. Post spacings vary from 12 to 24 feet. Products can be provided to meet criteria for perimeter security applications.
StoneWall Options
Formliner patterns in stone, brick, ribbed, or special medallions are available from elastomeric formliner suppliers. Real brick can be cast into the panel surface. Color can be cast-applied using acrylic stains. Realistic stone coloration can be applied by hand for a natural appearance. The system can be designed as a retaining wall for cut-slope applications (See Shorewall).
For developers or commercial applications requiring perimeter fencing, low-height designs are available with lighter components and shorter post spacings. Please call to discuss available options in more detail.
Screen Walls and Fencing are architecturally enhanced, low-height versions of our highway noise barriers constructed with support posts and concrete panels with double-sided architectural finish. They conform to the Faddis standard design as approved by federal and state highway departments. The AcoustaCrete® composite panel has sound-absorptive stone patterns on both sides with posts every 15 feet. The StoneWall vertical casting has a concrete stone pattern on both sides with approximately 12-foot post spacing. The systems are designed for 6-, 7- or 8-foot heights. Panels may be stained one color or to mimic the appearance of natural stone with varying colors. Several stone color pallets have been developed based on past projects. Products can be provided to meet criteria for perimeter security applications.
Stone Fence Options
Formliner patterns feature rectangular cut stone for both systems. Realistic stone coloration can be applied by hand for a more natural appearance. The system can be designed as a retaining wall for cut slope applications (see ShoreWall).
AngleWall™ is an offset or folded plate concrete panel system that should be used wherever there is adequate space to accommodate the undulating trapezoidal wall pattern. The offset distance “D” varies from 3 to 7 feet. Foundations are typically a compacted, graded aggregate base. Shallow foundations can span over undrillable soils that consist of rock, hazardous materials such as asbestos, or high water tables.
AngleWall™ Options
Architectural finishes and colors can be applied to both panel surfaces, although a raked finish on the reverse side of the panel is the most economical. AcoustaCrete® can be cast into one side as depicted on photos of the MD 200 InterCounty Connector featured in the right column. Precast or cast-in-place panels can be installed on concrete foundations if required.
